design And Build Quality

Now talking about the design and build, the phone has a glass back with an aluminum frame, which gives it a great and premium look. It also feels very comfortable to hold and use. Honestly, I really liked the build quality of this phone. This phone comes in different colors. What you are seeing right now is Turbo White, and below that is Nitro Blue as you can see, and there is also an Asphalt Black option. So blue and black options are also available. And if we talk about the weight of the phone, it weighs 206 grams and has a thickness of 8.4mm.
The interesting thing is that on the back, along with the cameras, they have also added a back light effect. Whenever an incoming call comes or a notification arrives, this light automatically turns on, which looks very beautiful.

Display

Friends, this phone comes with a 6.59-inch display. This screen size feels just right, not too small and not too big, which means it is great for in-hand feel and one-hand use. It comes with a 1.5K resolution of 2712×1220, which gives very sharp and clear visuals. It is an AMOLED display with LTPS technology and gives you a 120Hz high refresh rate, so the scrolling and animations feel very smooth. It is a flat display with a small punch hole camera at the top. A screen protector comes pre-applied on the phone, and you also get Gorilla Glass protection. The touch sampling rate is also very interesting, going up to 480Hz, and it also has an instant touch sampling rate. Brightness flickering has also been taken care of. The peak brightness is 3500 nits, which is very impressive. We checked it both indoors and outdoors in direct sunlight, and the display is clearly visible.

Performance , Gaming, Antutu Score

Moving on to performance, this phone comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 processor. This is a very powerful flagship level processor with a max clock speed of 3.4GHz and it is built on a 4nm chip. If you look at its AnTuTu scores, they are close to 2 million, which is very impressive. We also did a CPU throttle test and it stays around 80%, which is good. It also comes with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, which are very fast and reliable.Friends, if you look at the market today, most new phones launching in this price range are giving you LPDDR4X with UFS 2.2, or LPDDR5X with UFS 2.2 or UFS 3.1, which is honestly not a great combination. But at least Redmi has taken care of this and given you better specs here.Along with this, you also get Redmi’s 3D Ice Loop cooling system, which keeps the phone cool during heavy use. You can easily play high graphics games on this phone. We tried BGMI and Call of Duty, and the phone supports 120fps, but you get a stable 90fps gameplay, which is very good for this price range.

Rear & Front Camera

Moving on to the camera, this phone has a 50 megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor. It also comes with OIS which helps in taking stable and clear photos. You can shoot videos up to 4K 60fps on the rear camera. Along with that, you also get an 8 megapixel ultra-wide sensor.I want to say something here, most new phones launching in the market right now are not even giving an ultra-wide sensor. Some interesting phones do have ultra-wide, some have telephoto, but at least this phone gives you an ultra-wide camera, which is a good thing.For selfies, you get a 20 megapixel front camera and you can shoot videos up to Full HD 60fps, but there is no 4K on the front camera. In portrait mode, you get two types of zoom, 26mm and 35mm. You also get a normal digital zoom of up to 10x in photos, and even at 10x zoom the photo clarity is quite good.

Software & Os Update

This phone comes with HyperOS 3, which is based on Android 16. You will get 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patch updates, which is really great because most phones in the market right now only give you 3 years of updates, so this is much better than those.

The phone comes with some pre-installed apps. The lock screen also had Glance, but this time Glance has changed a little, it only shows text now. But if you want, you can disable it as well.

You can also do call recording on this phone. Along with that, you get Circle to Search, Gemini, and all other basic features. On top of that, Xiaomi has its own Hyper AI with many AI functions built in, which you can explore and use as per your needs.

Gaming Experience with massive battery

This phone comes with a massive 7540mAh battery, which is really great. I liked the fact that they have given such a large battery, and it also comes with Silicon Carbon technology which makes the battery more efficient and long lasting.

But that is not all, Xiaomi has done a lot more here. The phone comes with Xiaomi’s own Surge P3 charging chip, and along with that you also get Xiaomi’s Surge G1, which is their self developed battery management chip. This helps in managing the battery in a better and smarter way, which is a very good thing.

The phone comes with a 100W fast charger in the box, and with this you can charge around 50% battery in just half an hour, which is very fast. Along with that, you also get 27W reverse wired charging, which means you can connect a cable to this phone and use it to charge other devices and accessories as well.
